Samuel and I continued our research, as per our schedule. My health seems to be deteriorating daily, but I cannot let Samuel know. We are too close to an archaeological breakthrough. Far too close! I cannot quit now!!

Eureka!! We've done it!! As I suspected, this piece's origin is not rooted in that of the Kahrati tribe. It dates back as far as the first Ice Age, and in fact, even further. Why, this piece pre-dates Cro-Magnon man, and even the dinosaurs!!! Why, i'd go so far as to say it's as old as life itself!!! Fascinating, indeed!! Tomorrow morning we'll present our research to the archaeological committee. We must have an extension on this project! Too much depends upon it, absolutely too much!!
